New government guidelines are re-requesting that Type II face masks must be worn during all close contact treatments.  Please make sure, unless exempt you bring a mask.  There will be some on hand should you forget.

With the anouncement of Tier 4 starting tomorrow, I want to inform you that we are still open and permitted to treat.

As with the November lockdown, there are restrictions regarding this. Specifically, that we can only treat people suffering with pain, injury and mobility issues only.

To those who have apointments this week, you all fit into these catagories so you can keep your apointments as they stand. Please make sure you fill out the Covid-19 declaration sent in your email confirmation no later than 24 hours before your appointment.

For those wanting to know our Christmas hours, they are as follows:

2020 has definitely been a year to remember and for many a difficult and painful one. However, as we approach Christmas, it is a story of hope, peace, love, and joy. We hope, that in this season, whatever 2020 has meant to you, you find this.

Soft tissue therapists are now able to return to work but there will be some changes in how your appointment will proceed in order to continue to prevent the spread of infection. I list below some of the changes you can expect which have been put in place by the General Council of Soft Tissue Therapy.

  • If you are experiencing any Covid‐19 symptoms, please postpone or cancel your appointment.
  • There will be a consent form to complete regarding your exposure to
    Covid-19 before each appointment. These forms must be filled in before any treatment takes place.
  • If you are considered a high‐risk client, it may not be possible to see you at this time but feel free to discuss this with us.
  • If you are a first‐time client, your initial consultation could take place via telephone or videoconferencing, rather than during your appointment. (Alternatively, a consultation form could be emailed for completion prior to the visit).
  • If you are an existing client feel free to discuss your needs and any Covid‐19 issues.
  • Please bring you own pen and water if needed, as we can no longer supply these.
  • If you have a face mask, please wear this but if you don’t, I will supply you with one to wear throughout your session.
  • It would also be helpful if you wear clothing which is easy to remove and avoid wearing jewellery.
  • Please only bring a chaperone or legal guardian if necessary.
  • Soft furnishings in the practice room are wiped down between visitors.
  • Upon arrival, you will be required to remove your shoes outside of the treatment room, sterilise your hands and enter the practice room without touching anything.
  • There will be a container in which to put your clothes when you undress.
  • The treatment room will have been thoroughly disinfected and all linen and face cradles replaced for each client.
  • PPE will follow government guidelines. Please feel free to ask any questions concerning this or to request anything specific, in advance of your treatment, that you would appreciate.
  • The session will continue as usual, although unnecessary chatting should be avoided to prevent droplet formation.
  • When the session is over, please leave all the linens, untouched on the couch and try not to touch anything as you leave.
  • Please keep your mask on until you exit the premises.
  • It is also recommended that you register for a Track and Trace app to maintain our safety.
  • Payment can be made prior to the appointment via BACS or when you book on line but contactless payment is available.
  • If you have to pay with cash, please bring the correct money and place it in the supplied tray.
  • Please note, appointments will be spaced further apart than usual to enable cleaning.
  • If there are improvements you believe we could implement, there is a feedback form on our website.

  • Front door bell, door knocker, door handle cleaned after each visit
  • Hand sanitiser in the entrance way for visitors
  • Treatment room handles and surfaces wiped after each visitor
  • Couch roll in the face hole rather than a couch cover.  This allows us to clean it better after each use
  • Face shield worn from greeting at door
  • Face mask worn from patient arrival 
  • Shirts changed between visitors
  • Towels in toilets have been replaced with disposable paper towels and a pedal bin
  • You may wear your face mask if you wish
  • Therapist temperature taken twice daily

Out-Call

  • Face shield & mask worn upon arrival
  • Equipment cleaned before and after treatment
  • Use of our own hand soap, nail brush & hand towels will be used to wash our hands
  • You may wear your face mask if you wish
  • Different shirt between household visits
