Privacy Policy

At London Soft Tissue Therapy, we are committed to safeguarding your personal information. We have developed this privacy policy to inform our patients about how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your data.

Information We Collect

When you receive soft tissue therapy treatment, information about you and your health is recorded to aid in your care and treatment, commonly referred to as your medical records. Each healthcare organisation you interact with maintains its own records, including:

  • Your name, date of birth, address, and contact details.
  • Details of health conditions, illnesses, medications, and other treatments.
  • Records of interactions with healthcare professionals, including therapists, doctors, consultants, radiologists, and others.

Quality healthcare relies on accurate information about you, so it is essential that this information is securely maintained and complies with relevant laws.

Why We Collect and Store Your Medical Records

We do not retain your complete health and care records. Each healthcare organisation you engage with maintains its own records. However, we collect and store medical information related to the soft tissue therapy you receive.

We maintain some of your health information in our systems to enhance your care, including:

  • Ensuring that if you return and see a different therapist, they have access to your historical records to assess any potential risks to future treatment.
  • Allowing our therapists to make informed decisions about your current condition by accessing past medical information.
  • Providing access to vital medical information, including medications and other recorded conditions, which can be crucial and sometimes life-saving.
  • Sending exercise prescriptions or other relevant information directly to you to save time and enhance your care.
  • Offering online appointment booking at your convenience.

Use of Identifiable Information

We only share information that could identify you when communicating with your insurance company, GP, consultant, radiologist, and allied health professionals who are involved in your care. We securely send this information and obtain your consent before sharing.

Children’s Privacy Policy

Our soft tissue therapy clinics do not provide treatment to anyone under the age of 18 (juniors) without the presence of a guardian. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from juniors. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your junior has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from juniors without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our database

Handling your data

We will not pass or sell your data on.  If required by law, we shall pass it whom they require us to to so.
